I love...simply love Gloria Starr www.gloriastarr.com She is an international Image and Etiquette Consultant. I have followed her on-line for several years. (Not stalker-like LOL but her emails and videos. I find her very inspiring.) One of the things I plan to do at some point is attend one of her workshops.
I like the things she shares. Today was no exception. My favorite part came at the end of her email. The last line...
Get up, dress up and show up and create the life of your dreams.
Sounds like a fine plan to follow to me.
Get Up:
Get up off the couch! Get out of your comfort zone! If what you were looking for was there you wouldn't be read this...and I would not be writing it!
Dress Up:
Honestly how you look makes an impressive. I am not saying you need to be in formal clothes but good lord...today I had to stop at to pick up some hearing aide batteries for someone and I cannot count how many people looked like they were wearing pajama bottoms!
Show Up:
When you are in something...get in it. Put your all into it. Show Up! Makes your presence felt. If you are not committed...why are you there?
Doing all three can help you create the life of your dreams. There is a path that has been forged for us by the people who have gone before us. People who have created wonderful lives that at one point they only dreamed of.
They have shown it can be done. They have left bread crumbs along the way that we can follow...if we are only willing to see.
Today Ms. Starr left several.... :)
:) thank you for writing this post. Since I work from home I have trouble some days with the dress up part. But I am working on it. My motto whenever I attend a meeting is "look serious, be taken seriously" I have to remind myself that is the same for when I work from home! :)

Thanks for introducing me to this lady. I did get some inspiration for my own blog taking part of some of her videos and her home page.
As for the old saying Get up, dress up and show up, I wholeheartedly agree! Even when working from home. Treat yourself like a professional! :-)
