I love football. More as I get older. Tonight the Green Bay Packers face the 49ers. The 49ers are favored by 3 1/2 points to win.
What are the Packers doing because it's been fore-casted that they will lose? Did they decide to stay home? Put in their favorite movie or simply go to bed and pull the covers up over the heads?
Ah no! They have boarded a plane and flew halfway across the country. They are staying in a hotel. They got some rest, are eating breakfast, preparing as they can...then...DaTaDa - they suit up and play the game.
They give it all they have got. Regardless what anyone else has said. They play their game and if they do the best they can - that is all anyone can ask.
See the parallel with our lives? No matter what anyone else says we need to suit up and get in our game. If the odds are against us so be it. Take time outs. Get up when you are thrown for a loss. Play until the end. Then you get to leave the field knowing you did your best. That my friend wins the game for you no matter the official outcome.
Let's play ball :) And may I add GO PACK GO! :)
Love it! So true any sports professional will tell you how difficult it is being on a crazy schedule and not always having ideal conditions. We all can learn from it and suit up and move on!

Great analogy. And a lot of teams that are supposed to lose go on to win! That's the thing about sports - any team can win on any given day, even a really crappy team. Someday, the Cubs may even win a World Series!

Exactly Cheryl! And Liz...there is always hope for the Cubs :) Always! Thanks for your comments!

GREAT post! Coming to you from the UBC! Nothing better than using sports to help us guys get it! And I totally agree; the most important thing in life is to get ENGAGED and DO OUR BEST! Regardless! If you get knocked down, get back up and learn! Great stuff! Keep up the great work and continue making and IMPACT! :)
