Well here it is...the big secret...ready?
You have to want to be joyful!
Really... that's it. You have to want to be happy.
If I had a nickel for every time someone asked me how I can be so happy I would be writing this from a topical island with a lovely beverage in my hand. (That would make writing tough...but I would work it out!)
Seriously it is amazing. Happened yesterday again at work. Three men I was waiting on asked me if they could have some of the drugs I must be on. One said he was watching me...I looked so happy...I had to be on something and would I share? :)
I just laughed and said I choose to be happy and joyful. One of them said "You cannot be like this every day." My response was 9 out of 10 days I am or try to be.
Being joyful is a state of mind. Do I go through periods when I am not ? Well of course I do. I am human and my life in the last five years has had more twists and turns than the best roller coaster ever built.
But everyone has a choice every day...really every minute but that's a bit much for most folks to wrap their heads around...so we will go with "every day". Every day we have a choice about how we want to view our world.
I wake up every morning and in my prayer/meditation I ask that my heart be filled with joy and that is shows in my face. I stand up with open arms as I ask. I apparently think that makes it look like I am ready for a divine "download"!! :) Which by the way I am :)
Some days I can feel the joy and some days I can't. But starting out with that intention puts in me the best place to make it so.
Not drugs, not medication...something even better and FREE...
a simple desire to live in a state of joy.
The best zip code you could ever imagine.
I agree, why be grumpy when you can be joyful! Thanks for sharing!

Yes! I love this concept. It is easy to get bogged down in the "I'm depressed" blues. but if you just focus on the good things / people (!) in your life, it's easy to be joyful.

I so love this! And it's true!
Plus why not be happy- it's so much more fun!

Yes! It's an attitude, not a feeling. You can't wait to "feel" happy. You just have to BE! Good for you!
I get called Pollyanna, by the way. LOL People don't mean it nicely, but I always accept it as a compliment.

The new voip technology has created a special niche in the communication business with more broadband provider’s competition than ever. More competition in the voip internet connection has resulted in a lowering of rates and an increase in standard features which has benefited the end user. Consumers looking for a broadband phone provider should go online and read reviews of the top providers, as well as compare prices and features. * There are times when only one end of the call can hear the other.
