That's an interesting concept....What if the bogey man was NOT outside the door?
No I am not talking about a real life person who wants to hurt you. I am talking about all your fears that appear in your head when you decide you want to venture forth... Actually that bogey man can feel pretty darn real! "He" can stop you in your tracks.
Scare you enough to help you stay immobile. Stay stuck. There is comfort in staying stuck. At least it's the "known". But if you stay stuck you will continue to get what you have always had. Maybe that is what you want.
But if that's the case...that you are happy where you are I am thinking the Bogey Man would NOT be camped outside your door.
So where does that leave you? Tomorrow I will tell you! Promise... :)
Good afternoon, Jean! Your post reminds me of a number of devotional thoughts I've read in books written by Joyce Meyer, about how to deal with fears and dreads. I think one of my favorite quotes is "When fear knocks on your door, send faith to answer!"
Thanks for your post! ~~K'Lee
