I have met an amazing number of people who think there is an end to when you can start over...change your life...follow your dreams if you are not living them now. An amazing number. They seem to think it's too late...no matter where they are at the point we have had the conversation.
I don't know...maybe you have to "fall" hard to know that when you get up again you can shift, change, re-evaluate...decide you want life to be different. Maybe for some it takes a jolt or a gigantic "ah ha" moment to realize that this is all we have and we have a right to make it what we want it to be.
Maybe we get comfortable. Or maybe we get uncomfortable but the level of uncomfortableness is tolerable. Change sometimes comes quickly...sometimes it feels like the golden ring that goes by the merry-go-round that you just can't quite grasp.
But change is possible...you can follow your dreams...no matter how old you are and magic can happen in your life.
I read about author Belva Plain who died this week at 95 years old. She wrote more than 20 best-selling novels over several decades. The best part...she didn't start writing until her children grew up and she had grandchildren! A delightful reminder that your dreams can come true...there is always time.
The next chapter in your life can be different from the one you are living now.
Or maybe like me... you are going to close the cover of this particular book and start a whole new book. That's what I am planning to do. Next time I will tell you why.
