There are people who rush right by someone who is struggling with a door or with packages. And there are people who stop and help. My assignment for you today...you be the one to stop and help. See what a difference it makes!
I will tell you there is a shortage of people who can see the needs of others and then actually stop. I was coming out of the grocery store recently and an elderly woman was struggling to load her bags in the car. Her husband ( I assume that's who he was sitting in the running car) looked very elderly too.
I watched for a few minutes as everyone walked by her. Simply everyone apparently in a rush to get somewhere. I walked over to the car...put my bags down and asked her if I could help. She looked startled. She said "the bags are heavy" and I said " lucky I have been working out" and we both laughed!
In less than two minutes they were on their way and so was I. A small moment in time that made someone else's life a bit easier.
You can do that too. We all can. Several times a day...and wouldn't that make the world feel a bit warmer for all of us :)
