I was listening to a song on the radio...don't know what the name of the song is but one line has stuck with me the past few days...being in a love coma.
Have you ever been in one? A love coma where all you hear and see is that person... It's like everything else doesn't exist.
There is magic to that and a feeling of safety and warmth. But...and of course there is a but...being that focused is grand if it is for your highest good. If being in that state of coma doesn't let you see what also may be there then it is not so grand.
If you refuse to see red flags or brush away your doubts because they don't fit this imagine of what you want to see...that is not good.
Here is what I think. It is better to be wide awake and see what there is to see. The good and the maybe not so good. Each of us has those parts to us. And when we start from that premise...then each of us gets to be who we really are and there is no need for a coma state.
There gets to be real feelings in the dark and the light of day. And it's there that real magic happens. Eyes wide open and aware.
